Guangzhou proposes to build a "1 + 4 + 4 + n" high-end strategic innovation platform system with pearl Science Park as the main position, four major scientific and technological infrastructure as the front research strategic support, four provincial laboratories as the strategic innovation carrier, and multiple high-level innovation research institutes as the main platform for technology supply.
In recent years, Guangzhou has made great efforts to deepen the scientific field and introduced "big equipment platform of big Institute". In the "1 + 4 + 4 + n" high-end strategic innovation platform system, "1" refers to Pearl Science Park.
Guangzhou will take this as the main position to build a new area of science and education integration with relatively concentrated spatial layout, co construction and sharing of scientific research resources, interdisciplinary integration of disciplines and highly concentrated scientific research talents, to build a source of original innovation for heaven (space science and Technology), Earth Science (earth Science) and sea science (International Marine Science), and to support the construction of Nansha Science City as a comprehensive national science center Zone.

The four provincial laboratories located in Guangzhou include Guangzhou Provincial Laboratory of regenerative medicine and health, southern Provincial Laboratory of marine science and engineering, provincial laboratory of artificial intelligence and digital economy, and provincial laboratory of Lingnan Modern Agricultural Science and technology. Next, Guangzhou will build a national laboratory echelon with four provincial laboratories as the main force of original innovation.

In addition, the third batch of provincial laboratories, including the provincial laboratory of artificial intelligence and digital economy, and the provincial laboratory of Lingnan Modern Agricultural Science and technology, have also completed the organization construction. It is reported that there are 6 institutes, including Guangdong intelligent unmanned System Research Institute, Guangdong Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area Research Institute of air space information research institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangdong Dawan area integrated circuit and System Application Research Institute, Guangdong Guangdong Guangdong Guangdong Hong Kong and Macao Bay area hard science and technology innovation Research Institute, Guangdong Guangdong Guangdong Guangdong Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area Collaborative Innovation Research Institute, Guangzhou Institute of artificial intelligence and advanced computing of Automation Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences It has been recognized by the provincial high level Innovation Research Institute (accounting for 75% of the province) and targeted support, with a total financial support of 238 million yuan.
