Boao Forum for Asia starts preparations for 2021 annual meeting

Under the guidance of President Ban Ki Moon and vice president Zhou Xiaochuan, the Boao Forum for Asia recently launched the preparations for the 2021 annual meeting. As the highlight of the series of activities for the 20th anniversary of the forum, the 2021 annual meeting is of great significance to the cooperation in the Asia Pacific region and the development of the forum itself. In the context of novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, the 2021 annual conference will focus on the frontiers in the development of Asia and the world, and play an active role in resolving global challenges.


In order to prepare for next year’’s annual meeting and activities related to the 20th anniversary, the Forum Secretariat has recently consulted the host country of the forum, other sponsors, the forum Council, the Advisory Committee, members and partners. All parties put forward very good suggestions on the forum’’s annual meeting next year and its 20th anniversary. The forum will also hold a number of online or offline round table meetings in August and September, including "China EU Economic Cooperation Dialogue", "macro economy" round table, "micro vitality" round table, media round table, sponsors’’ round table, etc., to discuss macro-economy, financial cooperation, trade and investment, technology trends, social and people’’s livelihood, and provide suggestions for the design of the forum’’s annual meeting next year.
